SPRA 2018 Summer Photo Contest
The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) invites you to show us “What Recreation Means to You” by participating in our 2018 Summer Photo Contest. This contest is open to both amateur and professional photographers and no entry fee is required.
First prize includes a GoPro Hero! This 10mp waterproof camera can take photos and record video in 1080p at 60fps. It's the perfect camera to show off your exciting summer adventures. Runners up will compete for gift cards to Flaman Fitness and SPRA merchandise, which you can use to show off your passion for recreation and parks!

• Reclaimed land such as a former quarry, dumpsite, or mine transformed to parkland for recreation or education purposes;
• Industrial land, such as brownfields, that have been decontaminated and developed as a park
• Waterfront park developed on industrial land
• Vacant wasteland or underutilized open space

Projects should preserve and protect the natural environment.This can be direct (habitat restoration, energy conservation) or indirect (environmental education, promotion of local natural habitats). Symposium and Awards
We are fortunate that the National Communities in Bloom Symposium and Awards in being hosted in our neighboring province in 2018. Strathcona County is hosting the 2018 Symposium and this is a great opportunity to attend the national Symposium on Parks and Grounds and learn from a great group of speakers.
